Great things always get a little chaotic before they’re finished. That’s what we call the “messy middle” and it’s where the magic happens.
Behind the scenes, that’s the current state of this DIY website. (Yep, I’m a DIY-er.)
But it’s OK, because this is the place where I work best. That not-yet-fully formed-but-just-wait-till-you-see-what’s-next place. It’s a deep-dive, equal parts wax-on-wax-off and a Mary Poppins snap of the fingers.
Maybe that’s why I love ghostwriting books so much.
I love the process. I love to roll my sleeves up and get messy. I love the magical feeling on the other side, after all the sweat and the magic coalesced and you’re finally holding your sparkly book baby in your hands.
I love to see it through. There’s nothing quite like the triumph of a vision achieved at last.
